Lee Tunnel

Work has started on the £635m, four-mile long
Lee Tunnel project, which will prevent 16 million tonnes of sewage discharging into
the River Lee each year from the largest sewer overflow point at Abbey Mills Pumping
Station in Stratford.
CEMAR is being used to manage administration on the project between the project
management team and the principal contractor, MVB.

CEMAR has administered circa 2,000 communications under the project to date, each
one NEC3 compliant, accessible, auditable and consistent.

Glasgow City Council’s flood prevention scheme addresses the risk posed by
the White Cart Water and its tributary the Auldhouse Burn. The scheme commenced
following approval by Scottish Ministers in 2006 and is expected to complete February
2012.
CEMAR is being used as the core contract administration system on the circa £30m
project that comprises the formation of three flood storage areas upstream of the
city. Since January 2009 the system has administered approximately 6,000 communications,
each one consistent, compliant, auditable and accessible.

Belfast Community Housing Association are pioneering the use of the NEC3 Term Service
Contract in Northern Ireland.
The association together with their term contractor MJ Shaw are using the CEMAR
system to administer their NEC3 TSC contract. Services comprise reactive maintenance,
welfare adaptations, boiler servicing, cleaning and grounds maintenance to approximately
850 accommodation units.
Now in the second year and with circa 5,000 task orders, the consistent, compliant,
auditable and accessible approach to administration that CEMAR provides is proving
hugely valuable. Together with a powerful suite of contract performance and financial
reporting, the CEMAR system has delivered significant added value and cashable savings.

Gloucestershire County Council recently announced CMToolkit Ltd as their preferred
supplier of NEC3 administration systems. To date CEMAR has administered circa 6,000
communications across their portfolio of works.
Recent high profile projects where CMToolkit’s system CEMAR is being used
to manage NEC3 administration include; the Gloucester South West Bypass; Gloucester
Quays Linkages; Merrywalks Bridge Stroud; and Coopers Hill A46 land stabilisation.
Gloucester South West Bypass - Netheridge Section £22m
One mile of new highway construction on earthwork embankment over alluvial flood
plain; 300m section of new sheet piled ship canal; 850 tonne steel swing bridge;
various associated M&E; and infill of old canal.

Merrywalks Bridge, Stroud – New bridge and vital element of the wider Cotswold
Canal Project

As part of the Cotswold Canals restoration project a new bridge is being constructed
at Merrywalks, A46/A419 Junction, Stroud. The bridge will provide a gateway between
the canal and the town centre for the main road, pedestrians and cyclists.
